Rohan Nagar – Becoming the “Indian Cinema Junkie”

As you know we like to highlight when members of our community are doing things that you perhaps would not otherwise know about and be of interest to you.

This time we would like to give a mention to Rohan Nagar and his journey to becoming “The Indian Cinema Junkie”

Rohan was, like a lot of us, surrounded by Hindi cinema when growing up, through songs and films so was naturally drawn to the industry from young age and never lost interest.  Speaking to Rohan he notes:

“When I was a kid, it was mainly Bollywood films I would watch, but fast forward to today, that has changed because I have discovered that there isn’t only 1 film industry in regards to Indian cinema but you have many such as the Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi film industry just to name a few.”

Not one to follow the norm, after finishing school, in 2021 he went to Ukraine to study Dentistry but unfortunately that was short-lived with what has unfolded out there.  After returning and pursuing a few other ideas it was January 2024 when his journey as The Indian Cinema Junkie began.

Rohan regularly posts on various social media channels in his own style, the latest news, gossip and Indian cinema film reviews and what sets him apart are his 15 second reviews that are always very useful and easy to watch.

Rohan further adds,

“If you were to ask me about Indian cinema, I would say that I love it.  Now if you ask me on a deeper level, Indian cinema is amazing!  The actors, the songs, even the films themselves are great. 

Indian Cinema has given me some unforgettable cinematic experiences which I want to share on my social media platforms.  Via these platforms, I hope to be able to create my own Indian cinema company and make this my full-time career! 

I was lucky enough to attend this year’s IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi at the end of September, which was a great experience. I was able to witness performances from Shahid Kapoor, Prabhu Deva, and Janhvi Kapoor to name a few!”

As you can see, Rohan is following his passion and hobbies with gusto and has plenty more to come!
